(She could be Calathea roseopicta ‘Dottie’) They can be sensitive to tap water Good tips! Pests can also hide in the old leaf at the spot where the newer leaves came out (that was the last holdout for the thrips I had on my. plants years back)

I bought a beautiful calathea from Lowes and few months ago. It is dark purple with pink swirls and veining. It was on the clearance rack, but it wasn't $1. You got the best deal 😊

I have 5 caletheas in my collection. I absolutely adore them. Yours is a beauty. I prefer buying my plants online or at nurseries, but every now and then I pick up one from a box store after lots of inspection.
