bought Mitsubishi Outlander from Delhi for 2,35,000. Noc validates only for one month, i delay to registeration for 3 months, RTO charges 1000 per month(3000) And most importantly Road tax. Ap/Ts charges according to manufacturing cost of car, my car original cost is 21,00,000 used for 14 years in delhi, i paid 11.5% of total cost of car, that is 2,40,000 roadtax including 3 months late fee on roadtax also(7500). In hand my car came with TG number plate of total cost around 5,00,000. Car is in good condition, for repair it took around 30,000. Luckly Zero problems. I was totally prepared for the cost before purchasing because here in Hyderabad/vizag outlander second hand car is not available less then 6,50,000

As per Delhi RTA norms, the lifespan of a diesel vehicle is 10 years. After this period, the vehicle’s value is based on its scrap value. When buying a used car, it’s important to understand the depreciation pattern. In the first year, the depreciation is around 15-20% of the on-road price. From the 2nd to 5th year, the vehicle depreciates by 10% annually. After 5 years, the vehicle’s value is generally reduced by 50-60%. From the 6th to the 10th year, the depreciation rate is 5% per year, meaning a total depreciation of about 25% over these five years. Between the 11th and 15th year, the vehicle’s value is typically between 85-95% of the original on-road price. Beyond 15 years, the vehicle only holds scrap value, which is roughly 2 lakhs. This depreciation structure applies to vehicles outside Delhi and similar states. However, for Delhi and other Green Tribunal-regulated states, diesel vehicles older than 10 years are valued only at scrap prices. If the vehicle is in good condition and has been driven for around 12,000 km annually, you can add 10% to the final price. Conversely, if the vehicle is in poor condition, you should reduce the price accordingly. Additionally, if the vehicle is in high demand in the market, you can increase the final price by an additional 5% based on the total depreciated value.
