Everyone should stand up and demand the right to have no immobilizer on their new car if they choose. Now instead of your car getting hot wired and stolen they break in and shoot you and take the key. Also they significantly increase the likelihood of your car being taken straight to the scrap yard. Wish i could buy a new car without one. These immobilizers are being forced on us and it's not cool at all.

@@officialWWM how about they just not insure my car if it's stolen? I'm fine with that lol. Insurance is overrated. If it wasn't profitable it wouldn't exist. And if it's profitable it isn't even insurance as it's a business. Insurance means it mitigates costs not makes tons of profit. Where's a non profit insurance company at? And even if there was how much they over paying their overhead? Just a thought. Maybe we should have limits on profits of insurances??? Maybe I'm nuts but sure seems like it should meet the definition of insurance a little better with less profit. We're legally suppose to have insurance in the case the car owner hits someone else to cover the person's property in which they damaged. Now they have mitigated costs of my car getting damaged into my liability even if I choose not to carry comprehensive and collision. Damage to my car is legally suppose to be covered by the other person's liability insurance not my own. Therefore how new my car is shouldn't affect the price of my liability insurance right? Well it does, the price is perfectly consistent with the age of the vehicle with liability only which doesn't meet the definition of liability insurance. Think about it? Why are they getting away with over charging? If I want theft prevention it can be a separate endorsement. If you can't save your own money and want a new car then they can require you to purchase the endorsement for theft. But no, they want to force us all to pay for it. I'm responsible enough to save up enough for another car and don't need the loan or the cost of the theft prevention. You think I should have the right to chose taken from me because you or others are irresponsible? There's ways around it but instead they choose force everybody to pay like always. I'm not dumb enough to believe the bull. Sorry, that's just what they want you to believe to make an excuse to implement it by force for quite possibly some other agenda.

I really wish someone would come up with a technical fix or bypass to the pats system. So you DON'T NEED TO HAVE A KEY!!! Or 2 keys for that matter. Every video about fixing, bypass, solved, or whatever title they post, it's all basically the same thing. They HAVE A KEY THAT GOES TO THE CAR! My keys are GONE! I don't have a single key that matches the car. My keys are lost forever. You can't tell me that there is no way around the security system!

I locked my only ignition key up in my 03 Vette. I went to the Chevrolet dealer, had to show them the car title and my drivers license, and then they made me a key for the door, but it would not start the car because it had the wrong computer chip on it. They made 15 different chips for those keys, so you have to have the correct chip, which the dealer can make IF you take your original ignition key to them. If you do not have an ignition key, then they can make up to 15 different keys, one of which will start your car. Hope that helps.

Just use the key...that is what he does in this video. Only instead of taking everything apart and taping the key tot he ring, just insert the key into the ignition as normal and turn it to start. This is the dumbest video I've seen.

you only have two choices .. 1] get a new chip programed to the vehicle 2] go to the wreckers and buy the BCM / immobilizer / coil / and key all from a wrecked car the same year and model then replace them some vehicles have two immobilizers one under dash and one in the engine bay.

It means then even the petty-thieves can steal your car with out-circuiting the cat-out relay, and the old spark flying sences in the Hollywood movies when the anta/protagonist cuts four wires, then attaches the ignition with +12V AND THE ENGINE START WIRE! 😁 Stupid man who puts immobilizer in a module: "Look people, I have a K-Less car! I'm I missing something if I have a spare key put it in and start it,my problem is my original was destroyed volvo won't program a new pill,and there's not a locksmith within300 miles that has the software to do it do om sitting here with a 5grand of a yard ornament I can't drive because the dealerships won't program a key so I'm screwed my wife and I 64 yrs old and can't go to a doctors visit if something would happen to my wife as a result of this stress I would walk65 miles with a bat and beat the crap out each and every person thT wouldn't program my key and go to jail with a smile on my face and say baby this one's for you asswipes

If you take the car title and your ID to the dealership, they should be able to make you another ignition key. They will NOT make one unless you have the title and proof of who you are.
