Enjoyed the video. Question? How do you find the cache? Do you map it?
@PNWBackwoods
@PNWBackwoods Күн бұрын
@@nowwhat9114 you want to cache in an area that you know. Say it’s a place where you always go camping, hiking, hunting that is away from people that yeah, some MAY go but not too many and it’s secluded enough you have time to do a cache. Then look for something that YOU will remember. Whether it’s a tree that has a funky tree branch that won’t break off any time soon, or a patch of berries that you always go pick from. Then find a place around that to cache. Make it a way YOU will remember. Hope that helps!

@@jacquelinejohnson7541 yes. It depends on soil a good bit but to give you a couple examples. I can find a quarter down to about 8-10” in wet sand or relatively consistent dirt. I can find an aluminum can at probably 24-28” in wet sand. Probably 20-24” in dry non ferrous dirt. You won’t find anything at 3’ with just your average 1500$ an under recreational detector. But those are the facts. I have hunted old areas plenty and found stashes before. So safe bet not less than 24”. But if it’s big metal… 36.

@@PNWBackwoods if it’s private I wouldn’t be there. Just saying I have found stuff ppl obviously buried with maybe metal detector in mind maybe not. Mason jars. Pvc pipe. Etc. yes off beaten path. Just sayin don’t think cause something is in the woods 2’ deep it can’t be found. Best part about woods is there’s barely anything ever there. So when you find something it’s dropped and lost. Or buried…

@@PNWBackwoods by all means though. Keep watch however. Make sure it’s cell phone stuff though cause when that ir flash goes off… it’s like a flashlight. You see them from 1/2 a mile away. In fact it’s so noticeable, it’s worth doing whole area counter recording for recording devices. But hey just saying metal detectors go about 2’ now on anything bigger than a I dunno dip can lid.

As a very experienced metal detector who often searches old woods… I promise you. Anything of size isn’t safe above about 20-24”… and when you ring something in the middle of the woods you dig everything… so do with that information what you will.

he don't fuckin know. he don't even know what he's gonna say when he starts a sentence. the details to him are just "blah blah blah" that's why he's pulling it out after two weeks because when the seasons change and the landscape doesn't look the same all that shit is gone. i'd get a topographic map and mark the location on a transparent sheet you can overlay on it

@@zachzorlac9839 some of us have a good memory. Blah blah blah is the same as yadda yadda. Keep yours on a map. This is second nature to him and I have to remind him that he’s has to speak like he’s talking to people who don’t know any of this yet EVERYONE should know this. So I’m sorry if you’re butt hurt over how he speaks and I’ll happily take over the talking if need be and I’ll work on him speaking the way you’re gentle soul needs speaking too. Have a good day! ~Mrs. I was under the assumption that people watching these videos have some knowledge of what’s going on. Thanks for pointing it out. From here on out I will go into more detail.
