A great idea for a resource but unfortunately it is wrong. On the hexaxial co-ordinates, you need to plot the height of the R wave relative to the isoelectric line MINUS the height of negative-going Q or S wave relative to the isoelectric line. If you plot the total height of the QRS complex as shown here, the vector calculation will be wrong. For example, if the QRS complex in a particular lead is distributed 50% above and 50% below the isoelectric line (as happens if your cardiac vector is orthogonal to the recording axis) then your net measurement MUST be zero and the co-ordinate for that lead that you plot on the hexaxial diagram should be at its centre.

11 years later this is still useful and relevant. By the way why Lead II? In most guides they use Lead I and aVf.

This Tutorial is false. The heart axis is the result of the three vectors of lead I, lead II and lead III. You must draw the output vector of the three vectors. You must see some videos about how to sum up vectors if you don't know that already in mathematics.
