Very clear thank you, but what are the proper actions that you should take to correct the UGR for the visitor?

select a diffused luminaire instead of clear body. or select a pendant luminaire that is full cut-off, so light will only goes to the counter.

@@NelcaRoco Hi i am from Denmark in the vidio you select a calc.-point for the visitor, you use the GR not the UGR ? the calc.result say max 90, threshold value

@@johnnychristiansen397 Hi Johnny, i showed 2 diff options on how to calculate glare. One is for unified glare (reception desk) and Glare point only for visitor. You may use these 2 diff options in diff applications like in sports lighting or office lighting. the value max of 90 is a bad glare, the ideal for office or working area is 19 only. and threshold value is a default from dialux.

Hi Nelca. Thanks for the video. I'm hoping that you can give an insight to the situation I'm currently facing. So I am designing a lighting for a power plant control room. For the normal lighting, there is no problem with the UGR calculation. But when it comes to emergency lighting, I cannot make the UGR to be less than 25 on the tables. I've tried to to use a lower power lamp (currently 2x36W philips TL lamp), but it didn't work. Any advice on this? And in the first place, is UGR calculation necessary for emergency lighting condition?
@NelcaRoco5 жыл бұрын
U don't need to run a ugr calc if it is emergency lighting.

@@NelcaRoco Okay, thanks for the help. Os there any literature or standard which can support this statement? I need to convince the customer somehow.

Hi, I am a huge fan of your tutorials. Thanks a lot! I didn't get it one thing. Why did you in the surface calculation chose UGR and then in the pontual calculation GR? There is any specific reason?
@NelcaRoco5 жыл бұрын
GR is for one point while UGR is for series of points. If u want to get the glare for diff areas, use ugr while if u want to get the glare in one point or position only then use GR.

Dear Nelca, Thank you for your videos, I find them really useful! I'm teach lighting design in Yasar University Turkey and I'm looking for a daylight simulation software that is "free", "easy to use" and "user friendly" and capable of simulating (interior/exterior) shadings. Hella plugin is no more available, so can you suggest a new way please?? Thank you ! Take care!
