Good trolling motor...love the foot pedal, no one has this style for wireless, good if you also bass fish so you can go by feel instead of looking at the head of th4 trolling motor,, but Garmin is always un-user friendly compared to others with their electronics and trolling motor calibration. Mine is of about 10' to 15' on calibration right now...guess I need to try again. Shouldn't need a calibrate...should be auto.

Play with the Gain, it will calm it down and not try and toss you overboard.
