How to calibrate Genie Joystick

Manuel, you saved my butt. I followed your video instructions to the letter. My S-65 battery went dead after I left the basket selector switch on several days. Later I went to start it after charging battery and when trying to operate it I found several function didn't work. Would not swing left or right, Boom would not extend or retract and the steering wheels would not turn left or. right. After putting the control board back on and starting and operating the controls I found out everything worked just fine. Thank you for your knowledge and sharing it with the world. The dealer here want around $1000.00 to send a technician out here. 3 hour drive plus $180.00 to fix it. Lane

Love the confidence waiting for more equipment vids recently got into equipment repair and have been watching these repair videos to help get me kick started. Jumping from automotive to equipment repair is a huge jump IMO

Hi, Manuel, your energy is too much, love it. i have a problem with genie z-45/25, 2007 model, all the joysticks fail to work, no drive or steering, no boom up or down and no swing left or right. the control board on the platform have red and yellow light blinking. Please help, thank you

Mmmm those light should blink in sequence count the blinks and we can get a fault code for it

We have an s-125 that says it needs drive calibration... same procedure just with the drive joystick?

hey buddy, Idid it twice on the same machine but I couldn't activate it now I don't know if the control stick is bad

What abour the rocker switch on top off that same joystick. (Extend ando retract) Has the same issue, joystick didnt work, replaced it with a new one, swing and lift work but not the extend options

Does the same calibration process work on a grove amz40B manlift? I have nothing at the basket but start and stop

Negative, you would have to refer to the service manual for that but even then finding the manual should be Interesting

Have you checked the top E-Stop or harness connector right at the platform ?

@@handymanny214 k yes i check conector under platform control box clean them up same thing i replace all 3 contactors same thing , when i u push e stop in and it stay runing i use my meter 2 contactors one side 13 volts upposite side neg with e stop in the contactor that have a white heavy guage wire on it and a double red across with e stop in 13 volts on the bought side ,even when i disconect all the wires from the 3 contactors it still stay running have cut it off from ground

Interesting.. so do you know the year? I know some of the genie have a timing relay which is the Delay that you get for like 3 seconds before you can start the unit. I can see that staying stuck

@@handymanny214 20 08 k but rem it starts from ground and shut on and off from ground but the only time it starts and cut off from platform without a problem is if i disconect one wire from key switch i dont rem where that one particular wiire goes to and it cut on and off k; but with that wire off i switch it to ground it wont start at ground until i put back that wire
