I had exactly the same thing when I was about your age. 2 people in my school who were my age both passed away from a rare type of brain cancer , and for about a month after I felt the same way you do. It really does go away! I started to just tell myself that everything was okay. That unfortunately things like this happen, but it doesn't mean it will happen to you. Everytime I started feeling like that I would always tell myself I would worry about if IF it happens to me, and after I while I stopped feeling like that.

I already suffer from clinical depression and anxiety, but the last 2 days have been especially horrible because of things going on with my family. I tried this, and I used your mantra for 10 minutes or so. After feeling almost paralyzed all day, I was actually able to get a shower, clean up the kitchen, and finish laundry. I did have to keep repeating this to myself over and over, but it actually worked. I can't thank you enough for this. I live alone, and sometimes I think if there was another person here that would help. Unfortunately, when there is someone else here their best advice is "don't get so stressed". Yeah, that works. one of the worst things about anxiety is that it hits you out of nowhere and you don't know what to do it can came when you're just in your room, out with your friends, you can continue talking with them but it's there in your head and you just cant stop it and don't want people to find out either. I suffered from anxiety for my whole life even in elementary school, i just didn't know that it was anxiety and it kinda shaped who i am now and i hate it, i mean it really effect my way of life because i just want to isolate myself from everything because i think that if i talk about my anxiety with my friends or family i have a feeling that they wouldn't understand so i just try to overcome this by myself but i got really down because of this so many times and i hate to see myself weak. I try to be good at my classes and try to have a good academic life to feel better about my life but even though i get successful i still cant escape this feeling. my success become meaningless for me it doesn't make me feel better. I always feel that no matter how hard i try to be a better person and improve myself I will never be good enough for anything and this feeling of failure is in my life all the time. When I breath my heart literally hurts and I feel like my heart is going to explode in some point and that's really scary I hate being this way and not able to control it. I just wanna see my worth and myself in a better place and feel relaxed and relieved in my mind and soul. But I also know that it will pass but you just can't convince yourself when you're having anxiety attack but If you're also feeling this way don't be scared. I believe that it will pass maybe not today but tomorrow will be a better day, a new start. BREATH DEEPLY AND CLEAR YOUR MIND AND SOUL. just try to take things minute by minute :)

Just want to say thanks for sharing your techniques in reducing anxiety, it's always reassuring but so sad that so many people are effected by anxiety. A started suffering from severe anxiety over the past 2 years. I can honestly say that I never ever thought it could be possible to feel soo shit. I would wake up every morning with my mind in the right place but as soon as I would open my eyes I would feel terrible anxiety it's almost like a fire raging inside with no way out, I have found it very difficult to counteract my anxiety with positive thoughts as every time I assert myself to do soo I feel soo shit at the same time which makes me then feel like I am lieing to myself trying to convince myself that I am happy when deep down inside I am suffering in ways I don't even know how to handle anymore. It's fair to say that I have lived a very complex life, it has not been easy and I have made many mistakes which I live with every day my mistakes used to give me strength to become a better person, to give all my love to the world and hope that I would receive it back but the truth is when things got hard I started to see things as they really are.. it doesn't matter what you are going through in your life whether it be the best situation or the worst in your life people will always judge you. What I say is let people judge, don't judge the judgers, don't play their games because all it is at the end of the day is the battle of the ego's. Personally I am not interested in making anyone else's life more difficult than it already is, everyone is going through their own individual challenges next time you see someone who looks down instead of speaking about then trying to guess what is going on with them, say hi don't be afraid to throw a smile to the face of a stranger if you can bring a smile to someone's face even just for a second! You are doing something beautiful in your life. I send love and positive energy to all of my brother's and sisters out there who are going through their battles. If you have taken the time to read this I want to say thank you and be fucking strong, love yourself through every situation, understand yourself! Take the time to understand your feelings and give yourself the love that you need. Move inwards and touch your soul with the love and compassion that every sentient being deserves in this life. Let go of the things that cause you pain, don't allow them into your house anymore (brain) you wouldn't invite people into your home that could damage you or your family, instead you would kindly say I am not interested in this kind of talk and move on to your next objective. Best of luck brother's and sisters my love goes out to all! Together we are stronger, together we are one, together we are no longer alone

I was suffering with anxiety for months before I learnt a technique that would help. I wrote positive affirmations on pieces of paper and kept these with me at all times. It got to the point that I became fearful of going out in public. I knew that this had to stop because I didn't want to live my life like this and also, I had a family and I needed to function as a normal human being and going into recluse was not the answer. Eventually I stopped relying on the things I had written on paper and would repeat these positive words in my mind. It wasn't easy, in the beginning I would run out of stores and then stop myself and make myself return, I knew I had to face my fears. I would say things like 'I am OK', 'nothing is going to happen to me', 'I will get through this, I will get through this'. Finally I walked into a store and felt complete calmness for the first time in months, the feeling was so nice that I didn't want to leave that store. I knew then, that I would be OK. These feelings 2 years later still arise but they are short lived and have no longer stopped me from living my life.

I think the best thing for anxiety is to listen to these types of videos and read the comments and see how many other people feel the same as you. One thing anxiety makes us feel is alone and when you see others are struggling too it makes you realize it’s nothing dangerous and it is very common

I hate the anxiety so much because it can come and go so quickly like i'm feeling fine and then the thoughts pop into my head and I suddenly feel so incredibly awful that I have to lie down, It worries me because idk when it's coming, it could come when i'm out by myself or anywhere, I feel so safe in my house. A walk usually helps and I know it's horrible but I think of other people in the world and how people are dying and how life is so short that I can't just live it making myself feels awful! My mum also really helps me, she sounds exactly like this lady and tells me everything will be ok and she understands me and makes me feel safe. xx

My personality is usually calm and serene, but with people that are dear to me, i struggle to keep myself down to earth. I feel that this anxiety is really part of me that i denied for so long that I’m recently starting to accept. Overthinking, stressing and overreacting, your video helped me a lot, in Peru we a re facing history in the streets and it’s kind of worrying, so it’s important to stay cool to analyze and give comfort.

I thought I was the only one. I had my first panic attack exactly a year ago, was diagnosed with panic disorder. I refuse to fill my body with drugs..but ever since then I have NOT felt the same anymore. I feel like there is something else wrong with me but there is no way to express the way I feel. It’s an overwhelming feeling my head feels heavy, i feel like I’m not all there, I wake up feeling scared, I am scared to go to work or place where there is a lot of people in fear of getting another panic Attack. It really sux! Living this way really fuckin sux

I'm feel the same thing. I had a panic attack, all of a sudden, when I went for a walk. Thinking that I was having an heart attack and I wanted desperately to go to an hospital. I became so paranoiac and was so scared of dying. Since then, I fight with myself almost everyday and, sometimes, I feel that I'm losing myself day by day. I barely go out, for being afraid of having another one. It's a very complicated situation. Even more when the people around us doesn't understand what we're going through.

Thank you Jodi. I watch this video each night hoping I can change my thoughts and rid myself of anxiety. I want so much to realize that I have to think they are just thoughts and to not let them control me. I also try to remember how you have to tell yourself to do the opposite of what anxiety tells you or if you continue to say you wont get better you wont! I think those are the most important words you speak. Now maybe you might help me sleep and Im still looking for a good mantra! TY

Much easier with this: Very slowly, say outloud (gently) "Five, four, three, two, ONE." That should only be said 3 - 4 times, gently, in your regular, but softer voice. Also, say it in your mind as well... AMAZING ♥️

I know it's hard but watch things to make you laugh, keep your mind busy, if you feel a panic attack coming on breathe and stay focused on something else. The tapping methods works I tap on my knees 10 each knee then say 10 then do 10 more each knee and say 20 go all the way to 60-100 take 3 second breath in hold for 3 and 3 seconds out.
