New to astrophotography............super video and very helpful............am I correct in assuming that to get images to edit for a "mineral moon" they have to be taken with a standard camera that shoots in RAW, and not a dedicated astro camera that saves the images as .fit files?

S Thanks for this great tutorial! So, this is Adding colors? Not Bringing out the existing Colors?

Would running this through Registax and some Wavelets get some sharper results? Great image by the way :)

I do use registax sometimes to sharpen up images.

technically, yes. You could also use IMPPG.

nice video with all the steps, but is it hard to make a video where the screens are sharp so that I can read what it says? some people can

I'm working on fixing that. I've got limited equipment and expertise in video production but working on making improvements.

Thank you for your video, it was outstanding. Could I do something like this with a DSLR? I know I can't use SharpCap.

Thanks Tom. I have never used a DSLR but I imagine that you can adapt this process. The key is to make sure you take color image, then once you've got them stacked you should be able to follow same process in photoshop.

When I click on place grid it covers the dark sky as well as the moon.

Hi how can i put raw files in stekkart
@thedigitalastronomer64423 жыл бұрын
Not sure you can but you might want to email the developer or search cloudy nights forums.

raw single shots? I don't think you can. You want to use "lucky imaging", i.e. video, rather than individual frames like you normally would with a stills camera.
