This made me think, would you be interested in seeing a video on (making) gaiters and other shoe coverings for larp?

If that mold ends up coming back as soon as those gators get wet, maybe really try mold removal sprays for furniture or wood before throwing it away, as a last resort. I ended up using those, and then thoroughly washing it off with water, then letting things dry (ofc without heat), and gave them a leather conditioning treatment before they were completely dry, and surprisingly, the items survived that. Saying this just in case, since your way of doing this is definitely better if it is enough.

Good tip! As you might have noticed I don't mind drastic measures if the other option is throwing it away. Good moments to experiment ;)

This was really interesting and helpful. I don't have leather armor, I do have a leather bag that could use some care. Thank you.

A really interesting and informative video. One thing that is important is to not overdo it with oiling and conditioning. You can also overcondition leather, which means it gets squishy and stretchy. I have seen really nice horse bridles ruined by overcaring. Granted, it is a whole other for leather to lie on a sweaty and hairy horse. But as always, it is important to find a good middle ground.

When you are at a LARP. How does trade usually work? If you genualy want to buy something of another character and IRL at the same time. What currency do you use? Are there any LARP Currency that you can buy and trade with. Or do you use real money?

I think trade is one of the things that varies most between larps and larp cultures in different countries. I hardly ever play with trading or money at larps, so can't really explain it.
