How to carry a bicycle on a motorcycle or scooter

This video shows how to carry a bicycle on your motorcycle or scooter. I have Ducati, but I don't carry my bicycle on that. I carry my bicycle on an Aprilia Scarabeo 250 scooter, and I use a 2x2cycles bike rack. I have never had any problems with my 2x2 cycles bike rack on my scooter. It easily goes highway speeds, around corners, or down bumpy roads. It works well for my mountain bike, but I do have to use an adapter for my Cannondale Lefty Fork. Cool vid, thanks Sean! Does that protrude more than 4 feet? Per CVC Section 24604, whenever the load upon any vehicle extends, or whenever any integral part of any vehicle projects, to the rear four feet or more beyond the rear of the vehicle, as measured from the taillamps, there shall be displayed at the extreme end of the load or projecting part of the vehicle: ~a solid red or fluorescent orange flag or cloth not less than 12 inches square, or~during darkness, in addition to the required taillamp, two red lights with a bulb rated not in excess of six candlepower plainly visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the sides and rear. (You can probably fulfill this requirement with a simple rear seatpost blinky from a road bike.)

It extends just a little under 4 feet. A mountain bike with a longer wheelbase might be pushing it. This might also vary depending on on the motorbike. Your blinky light idea is a good one. 2X2 cycles also includes a little flag that I typically use, but I didn't put on for the video.
