This is an excellent example of how Nutn’ keeps coming up with fresh content, even after more than a decade of videos. Something to consider for left hand gun use is to practice controlling your bike with the throttle hand only. Being able to shift up and down without the clutch is a vital skill as well as mastering the front brake. The only thing you won’t be able to do is come to a complete stop and take off again. That’s about the only time I use the clutch anymore.

People carry firearms for things that are mostly unforeseen. If you are getting road rage and you stop off to fill your bike up you can't really get away really quickly. Guns are for the unknown.

I think a Fanny pack, like a tight chute product is a pretty solid choice. The magnetic holster system can accommodate basically all models of guns, you can have it in the back when riding a sport bike with a one piece leather suit, or in the front with standard seating position and when you stop it’s easy to take off your gear and blend in with everyone else and stay concealed carry the whole time.

The Safariland is great, but check out the Tek-Mount holster system. Similar concept but you can very easily rotate your holster 360 degrees on the fly, so you can cant it way forward and lock it in place to be upright while riding.

On a motorcycle, crashing is orders of magnitude more likely than needing to defend with a firearm, so I don't want a pistol on my torso. In a crash, it could break ribs and otherwise cause a lot more trauma than the crash alone would. I need to find a way to keep it on my leg in a leg bag or in an open-carry holster.

I just carry my HK P30 or P30sk in my regular appendix iwb and it works fine. I don’t put a lot of stock in the idea of shooting weak hand and throttling right hand, I’m just not going to do it. @@sociopathmercenary if you could clutch and throttle with the same hand that would be much better. If you are stopped and a dude jumps out and tries to kill you, how are you going to shoot with your left and throttle away with your right hand without using the clutch? It just doesn’t make sense

I live and ride in Dallas-Ft. Worth. Urbanized, overcrowded, and chock full of stressed out, aggressive, stupid, pissy drivers. And then there’s the crime and daily road rage shootings. So yes, I carry a full house 1911 10mm. I don’t know any riders around here who don’t carry. For me, it’s a Galco vertical shoulder rig for EDC. Highly concealable, comfortable, and allows fast access to the pistol. If there’s any downside to this method of carry, it’s that I can only access the pistol with my throttle hand. But as long as my hand’s on the throttle I’m gonna boogie away from trouble if at all possible (as you rightly recommend). I also use a high level of discretion as to when, where, and how I ride, which keeps me out of trouble. I refuse to get into pissing matches. I’m out to ride, have fun, and survive. I’ve noticed that many riders around here are open carrying. That’s all well and good, but some jackass is going to try to make your life miserable. By the way, I have that same Klim jacket. Rock solid. As for thigh carry, I don’t necessarily dislike the idea, but I think losing the gun is highly likely if you go to the tarmac. Stay safe out there, ride SMART, and always be prepared.

Whereas most states don't allow filtering, maneuverability is a bit less a factor; better to always give space in most situations. Since defensive use of handgun will likely place you in an immovable or stopped situation, strong side defensive use is most likely. Most motocross also carry strongside IIRC.
