Nice work! The dark color of the knot is really cool. When the other fisherman showed up in the background my first thought was “oh no it’s Bigfoot” lol

We had our eyes open for those Alaskan squatches.this was just a random fisherman in the alaska wilderness who might have been Slightly envious of my fishing hole.

@@CreationDust777 if we catch a trout it seems some guy shows up next to us like they are hiding behind a tree watching. We can relate! Maybe that’s why there’s so many Sasquatch stories lol

You do beautiful work and I really enjoy your videos. I wish you would spend a little more time on the carving itself, and explained the type of finishes you use and other details. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful Pine knot carvings. Thank you and best wishes.

Thank you for watching, and thanks for the compliment. We are seeing a big interest in how -to. We have shifted a little to creating more instructional type videos to be included. We're filming them now, but it takes time to get them in place. I us a finish called old antique by minwax on all my pine knots carvings. I think your best bet is to get it online. It comes in a red can. I apply a thin layer and wipe it off with a clean cloth. I apply many coats letting it dry in between coats until a sheen develops. Contact me if you have other questions. Best to you

I just found your channel and I'm really enjoying your style so far, both carving and the videos. Do you think I would have any success carving a chunk of pine knot knife only? I make knifes sharp.
@CreationDust777Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching our channel. I'm always amazed at what knife carvers can accomplish with just a knife. If you're just starting, you may find something like a piece of basswood, or poplar much easier to carve with a knife. I've carved with chainsaw for many years, but I'm honestly just starting to whittle with a pocket knife I'm doing simple designs . Check out my how to hand carve a spinning top video, or my mushroom woodcarving video. Those are both knife carving videos. I personally would probably not tackle a pine knot with just a knife, but it could be done if your determined. Best of luck to you, and careful with sharp knives!
