Thank God for this tutorial. I needed to carve something on a tree for a photography client of mine and couldn't figure it out. I watched six other videos with no luck. Your code saved the day. Thank you sir ! 👍🏼

Thank you so much for the tutorial! I actually didn't want my text to look as clean as yours did. I wanted my text to look more like it was etched in with a knife so I found that switching the font to Chalkduster and changing the style to Inner Bevel. Couldn't have done it without this tutorial. Like.

I like how this tutorial was done the way I like to work, using the menu very little and opening the dialog off the layers. Very helpful. Thanks.

Awesome! Good job. Really nice outcome. Tip: Instead of relying on the text/logo being white and then multiplying, use any color and drag the fill value (under opacity) to 0%. This way, the things in the layer disappear, but the layer styles are still visible.
@UniblueMedia11 жыл бұрын
I did not know you could do that in Photoshop. I'm used to using 3-5 of the Adobe programs on a daily basis, and it does not work like that in for ex. After Effects or Premiere pro. Thank you, nonetheless!
@bratzie11 жыл бұрын
I know! It's not obvious, and I know you know your way around other areas of the Creative Suite ;), also, to center stuff on a canvas, have the move-tool selected. Select everything (ctrl-a) and use the move tool options to center the layer based on your selection. (Options are in the move-tool toolbar up top by default, not sure about shortcuts).

Hi, I really like your effect but I was wondering, is there a way to make it transparent when there is no background? I'd like to be able to use it as a png over any texture... Thank you very much if you help me!
@UniblueMedia10 жыл бұрын
Technically, yes. You could make a grey map (a grayscale) and use it's light values to create this effect. To make it more effective, place your saved saved image of this on on it's own layer in Photoshop and switch between different modes to achieve your wanting. I would recommend "Overlay" as this is brilliant for light adjustment using gradient maps or any other grayscaled elements. Have fun!

The step, 'go to the burning options for the text layer', I can't find it or info about where to find it. I'm working in Elements, and have never had a problem finding any tool, just usually have to look other places. Do you have any idea about where I could find it? Thanks!!
@PortraitsByChrista8 жыл бұрын
+Christa Blevins Well, I think I just found something that's just not available in Elements... I found the options to add a bevel and shadow, etc., but it's very limited on what can be done. Thanks for sharing, maybe I'll be able to get PS pro again sometime. :)

I installed this great looking mod and only some of the textures were changed. Spruce door, granite etc are default textures and looks very out of place. Some dirt is fine, while some dirt in some areas are default. I don't want to use another texture mod because I love how the cracks look when you mine. I have forge and optifine and I am using 1.8 since I can't find any 1.8.3. I'm new to Minecraft and don't want to continue playing until I resolve this issue.

It's easy to mix up words when you are not speaking your primary language, while navigating in a program. There are more mistakes in addition to that one. Pardon my flaws, but I'll hopefully improve myself as an amateur educator with these tutorials.
