This videos shows how to cast and gold leaf resin castings without resin bubbles. I also show how to add a plinth to the final casting to give it a real uplift and beautiful finish. This technique on resin casting and adding gold leaf is an easy tutorial to follow for any level of crafter. I cover a lot of other hints and tips throughout this video, including how to measure the amount of resin you need for an odd shaped mold, and how to prevent trapped bubbles ruining your casting amongst many others. I list all the materials I use in this video below.

My partner has CP and when I need to glove up, I like using plain old "Liquid Gloves" in the 1970s-looking blue bottle. It protects really well! What do you use?

I noticed you mentioned you are saving for a pressure pot. Yesterday I found a video by a guy that built his own for less than $50 USD. No wiring. It has a manual hand-pump. I saw several other home-made pressure pot tutorials but his appealed to me the most, less opportunity for me to cause damage or be injured. It's on Blake Mcfarland's channel, dated January 2020. I am not associated with him in any way, this is the only video I viewed on his channel. (I might have someone else drill the hole in the glass lid, probably someone with experience and proper tools. That would add a bit to the price but totally worth it for me. I have a love-hate relationship working with glass.)

Just a heads-up for all of us resin fanatics, I've just discovered a great clean-up spray that is wonderful for cleaning resin off your hands. It's calles Bosisto's Multipurpose Cleaner, it's made from Australian Eucalyptus Oil. No harmful chemicals! I love it

Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sharing about the skin reactions! I must be having the same problem because my face, eyes, hands and forearms are totally broken out in tiny itchy blisters that have started peeling and flaking. My hands are split open all over! I'm so excited to figure out why this is happening! Thank you for all the amazing information and experience you share! I am ordering some of the skin protection right now! You are such a fantastic person!

Hi yes you can the craftsman uses Vaseline all the time for his molds. You .can go there as well to see how he dose it. Steve and The Craftsman are my favourite 2 You Tubers. They are the only 2 that really make there videos feel like. " I can do that " and they give me confidence to do anything
