How to catch big smallmouth bass in the fall! fishing the Susquehanna River for bass!! In this video my good buddy Paul and I head out to the Susquehanna River to try and catch some big smallmouth bass!! Fall fishing is in full swing right now so we wanted to get our chance at the hot bite! As always, the river did not disappoint!! We started out fishing eddies and bridges with the Alabama rig and started catching some huge smallmouth bass!! I go over some retrieve styles for fishing the Alabama rig to help you catch more bass and I also go over some key areas to target to help you find the smallmouth bass on the river this time of year in the fall! Its October and the fish are feeding up good for the winter months! The tips in this video are meant to help you catch more bass! Especially meant to teach you how to catch big bass on the Alabama rig! Fishing the Susquehanna River in October is like no other place around!! the bass fishing action is insane!!

That was an insane trip you guys had. I might have to break down and try an A-rig sometime. First time I saw one I thought no way that thing is legal lol. Went on lower Susq last weekend out of Lapidum but all I got were a few small Stripers on chatterbait. Would love to catch one of those huge smallies.

wow, absolutely amazing. thinking i might have to try the river soon. great size fish. that's so cool. is that pretty much what's in the river to catch, or depends on the time of year? does your buddy's boat have spot lock for the trolling motor, due to the current? have you ever taken your boat to the river? yours and my boats are pretty similar. just curious, saw you stated it was pretty low in that area

Yeah average fish on the eiver is about 2.5 3 pounds most the time and no he dont have spot lock. Certain areas ill take my boats i have to launch from a diff area when i take mine up.

Really low was like 6 inches to a foot but my buddys got a jet boat so didnt matter much
