Hey Matt, fantastic video. I'm heading down to my local river (the erewash) with my old man to fish a stretch where it begins its journey to finally end up in the river trent. Its only about 5m wide and very shallow with small pools building up every now and then, But it's absolutely teething with small chub and a bonus few larger ones. I doubt any have ever been caught. Going to try the running ledger method with maggots I think. Fingers crossed and tight lines! 🎣 Thanks for the tips!

Any knowledge, about the River Don in sheffield? Been trying for chub in sheffield, but not caught one as of yet. However, moving is key as you say so hopefully, i'l implement this tactic in the near future.......also nice to see you on youtube Hayes time to increase those Subs....legend!

Hello men, as I can see, you have some kind of culture, using bottom fishing tackles. And its kinda wierd for russian guy, cause we usually use ultralight spinnings for chub fishing. Do u use spinnings for chub too?

Yes, we catch chub on lures quite often. The most typical way is legering with bread, cheese paste etc., the best thing about chub is that you can use so many different methods and baits to catch them.
