Thanks Rhys, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks also for commenting. The mark can be fished at both high and low water, although on big tides low can be difficult as there are some rocks in close by which can be awkward for snagging on. The other option is the beach nearby. It is flat sand all of the way out and is fished regularly for Bass and flatties. In the summer it can be full of tourists though so the beach can be difficult before dusk. Certainly a versatile mark, that's if someone isn't there already! Best of luck

Enjoyable video Ben, thanks. I was interested that you think there are big bass inshore in Pembs over winter. I'm just over the border in Ceredigion, and find the big girls will only just be thinking of coming inshore around now. Do you have any experience of lure fishing for bass this early? I can't wait to get started, and will probably kick off in Pembs, if only that the water stays clearer than my local marks.

Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t think there always inshore, but in the winter months I tend to find the bass come inshore and feed hard and fast, often December time. This I find is only performed by larger bass, why? I don’t know. I’m actually going lure fishing this weekend in Pembrokeshire. Perhaps a little too early for Bass now but it’s always worth a shot, heck even winter can produce bass on lures, but admittedly not many. It’s worth a shot but I can’t promise results. If you’re trying I’d suggest dusk and dawn, trying from top water lures all the way through the depths, it will depend where they are. Best of luck!

@@bengriffithsseaangling2138 Let us know how you get on. Nearly all of my lure fishing is at night, usually on a mark for 2 a.m if the tide is right. I tend to fish new marks and early season in the daylight though. I had a couple of reasonable fish in April, but also got followed by a double and a 70cm+, in crystal clear water. I also had eight blanks before my marks started producing one or two fish sessions, and it was autumn before any glory days (or rather nights). I'm chomping at the bit though, and one thing I've learned bass fishing is don't be afraid of blanking😆 Good luck, Richard
