Awesome video Erik. I have been watching's you for years and you never disappoint with useful fishing tips. Where do you usually launch for a trip to Santa Rosa? I trailer a 22 foot Duckworth boat from out of state.

I rockfish much the same way in San Diego but little bit smaller gear. Are local rockfish and lings don't get huge. At least the ones I've caught. 5 lb red and 28 inch lingcod are my biggest catches. Favorite jig reel is my avet sxj,40lb braid fished with 25lb fluro.

What class/style of rod are you using for these swimbaits? I was trying to follow your tips for "popping" the 3oz head along the bottom using an inshore rod rated for 2-6oz. lures, but I don't think it was optimal. I'd like to find something that fits better.

What colors would you recommend on the 8” slug, besides the green/gold combo?

Hey Erik, which trolling motor do you have that you spot lock? Would you recommend same for my Mako 234C?

I have a Minn Kota riptide. For your boat I’d 36 volt model.
