How to Catch Smoothounds from the beach

In this video, Jay (the Ray) shows us how he rigs up to catch Smoothounds from the beach.
Jay is a very successful specimen hunter who fishes from the beaches around Eastbouren for specimen, Smoothounds, Rays and Bass.

Love your vids.. have smoothounds always been on the south coast? Like back in the 70s etc or are they a fairly recent thing

They traditionally were caught around Selsey. they have moved this way in the last few years, I think they were always here, but not in numbers.
