Hi Heath, I saw you out there about two weeks ago and waved hello! I was trolling on the orange/grey jet ski with my pops. Hope you guys are doing great!

@@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing very cool :) didn’t catch anything trolling but we got a nice blackfin earlier from jigging. You think we could catch these tilefish jigging?
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
@kristianstavri7597 yes, but it's tough.. you gotta slow pitch for them.... it's 500 ft out there

Hi Heath, an other great video. Thank you! What is the bi-catch when targeting tilefish? Thanks.
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
Hey Jerry, if you're in the right area the bi-catch is snowy grouper.... if you're not in mud you'll get small flounder and small black sea bass

I think big guy likes trolling more😂😂. Would love for you to come to Trinidad and deep dropfor some 60lb + yellowedge grouper. Tight lines.

That sounds like fun to me😁. Yes he loves trolling

Looks fun. I wou luv to do this kind of fishing. But I will need electric reels. Is it possible to hook sharks from that deep?
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
Yes you can definitely hook sharks deep dropping.

Hi Heath, I guess I won't be catching one from the pier. The terminal tackle looks pretty neat. I hear they are good to eat. You really go into the details of each type of fishing. And it's the little things that matter. Say "Hi" to the Crew for me. All good up here, just waiting for some cooler weather. Take care and have fun, Mickey
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
Hi Mickey, correct tilefish, well they're a little ways out. I love being able to share this knowledge.... even more so when I learn something new and I can share that info. Everyone says "Hi". Everything is good here, I'm waiting for more mild weather as well. Take care, talk to you soon

Hi Heath, The Fall weather will be here soon. ( No hurricanes ) Take care, Mickey

Great video. Anyhow, FWC has decreased the amount of Blueline tilefish from 3 to 2 per person as of 2023 season.
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks... I haven't seen any info regarding that change. Could it be for the gulf? I'm on the Atlantic side... FWC website still states 3 per person within grouper aggregate. If you have a link to a proposed change please send it to me. Thanks again.
