I will be slightly turning my boat next time I attempt this. Always wondered what I was missing.

Awesome! Thanks!! Have you done any content on playholes vs. surf waves and the different tricks/moves that are better for each? I’m having trouble spinning in aggressive holes.

I haven’t made a video like that but I’ll add it to the list. Thanks for watching!!

Was practicing that skill this past weekend on the small stuff on upper green as I try to exorcise the beater from myself. Helpful nugs of info are much appreciated. Paddle on🤘

The same principle should work in any size of wave. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tips. Could have done with these when visiting the falls of Lora last year. Me and a mate had to rename the forever wave, to the never wave, because we never got on it! Definitely guilty of stopping paddling early when felt the stall but not going down the wave. Got to try the boat on angle as well.

There are a few waves I am inbattled with too. One In particular that I have a very low success rate in. But hang in there and don’t stop and you will gradually get there. It is just a process of small daily improvements. Keep at it. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the video. Is it a suitable strategy to hit the wave sideways for maximum "bumper slowing effect" to start in a side surf and then transition to front surf?
@SethAshworth2 ай бұрын
@@r.c.5063 you will get great slow down effect but you need to be aware of your edges so you don’t accidentally carve off as now you will have a harder time to turn back if you have tonmake a big turn

In conjunction with your getting out a hole video, the other day I was on the Snake in a hole I've tried to catch before, but this lap I just tried to punch it. Whenever I tried to catch it, I'd just wash off the back, but when I ran it straight, paddling as hard as I could, I ended up in a back surf which I eventually righted into a front surf. Why is it so much harder to stick when I want to than when I don't want to and is there any lesson I can apply to have more of a choice whether I catch the wave or not? Thanks for your input.

Sorry Christopher! I thought it was quiet enough but I’ll try and tighten up on the next ones
