To make the job easier, in addition to undoing the four retaining clips, undo the hose going into the cap using a phillips head screwdriver. This way you won't have to jiggle it around to take out the filter and then put it back in. This will also allow you to have the room to inspect the inside to see if there is any dirt or debris sitting in there. If there is, you can use a vacuum cleaner to vac it out.

Thank you, we just changed our sonata cabin filter and air filter, the dealers wanted to charge us $110.00. We watched your videos and we paid $27.00 for both filter, it was so easy thank you.

I would suggest also cleaning the air filter compartment too...there is always a lot of grit and particle settling to the bottom. Great video...thanks!

thank you for the kind comment, my friend. And you're right, I usually find a few dead bugs in there too.

I'm always afraid to try to do something like this. Scared I won't be able to get it back in the housing and then what?

Try it at your own risk. But it’s a fairly simple process. Just be sure to do your homework and know what you need to do and what you will need to complete it

Just changed it ! I used the same stp products you used. Took me less than 5 min to do both and only cost me $17 in total, compared to the dealer in Miami charging $102. Thanks again

Crazy they want to charge so much. They tried to charge me $30 at the oil change place, and I just got one for $13 at Amazon

I am going to try to do this myself . The dealership is charging $77 dollars in labor, as well as, $ 20 for cabin filter and $30 for the engine air filter.

if u have a physical condition that makes u unable to do this, then its understandable to hire someone. But if u are physically able but just dont wanna do it, u dont deserve to own or drive a car
