Thank you so much for this video. I was scared that I would have a needle in my arm for 14 days. Your video showed me the flexible piece that stays in. I bumped my sensor and every so often it kind of hurts inside. I was afraid that the "needle" would break off in me. Also removing it looks fairly easy. Well done.....

I would like to know how to get the reader able to read a new sensor if the old one still has 13 days left??? I was told by the company to remove the sensor on my arm and put the new sensor on. It would work. The scan new sensor line did not come on the screen. Do I have to wait til 13 days are over???

just got the libre 14 day kit, had my sensor on for 4 days and it fell off, I have 1 left, when I put it on, how do I get my reader to recognize that the sensor is new? because the 1 that fell off was still good for 11 more days, tried to put it back on but didn't work, please advise....it's my first time using this meter and I LOVE it, no more sticking my fingers...how do you get it NOT to fall off? mine stayed on only 3 days before falling off

Put the new one on 24 hrs before taking the old one off. Then switch your phone to the new sensor and continue without any interruption. Not my idea, someone else on KZbin suggested this. Sounds brilliant. Hey my sensor, my 1st one it was a trial shipment, didn't come with any alcohol wipes. Hmmm.

Thank you so much for making & sharing this video. I’ve had my sensor (Libre 3) for 11-12 days now. Sometimes it drives me bonkers. lol. But I am adjusting to it (the app that is) the sensor itself I don’t feel and forget that it’s there. Just trying to learn it. I needed this video because I was wondering how to take it off to change it. You make it look easy and fairly quick. And let’s not forget painless. lol. I didn’t realize the needle was even there until after and then I learned of it and made myself sick with wonder but it didn’t hurt and I’m just hoping that when I change it that the new one is painless also. Libre sensor is really good option if you think about pricking your finger. I thing twice before I go for pricking my finger. Thanks to Abbott for such a wonderful device but libre is lacking on alarms I know Libre 2 has alarms but you need to scan if you want to know the number of HI/LO value. For that CGM is best I'm using Ambrosia's Nightride blucon on top of my sensor which is another wonderful device. It gives alarms, allows sharing reading from any distance and best for parents of young children is direct readings on watch. Their children can get their readings on watch and their parents can follow it from any distance.

I've noticed you were trying to get that sticky stuff left on your arm I order a product called skin tac wipes it wipes off the adhesive sticky stuff right off! they come about 100 in a box at Amazon! There are other medical stores you can order these skin tac wipes some are cheaper than Amazon. They are individually wrapped like alcohol wipes. It's not messy! Also you can use skin grip patches to put over your libre to keep it on secure at Amazon.

My 14 days sensor doesn't allow my multiple caregivers to follow my readings but Libre with Blucon allows my caregivers to follow my readings with their Followblucon app remotely. I didn't find this feature in other CGM devices.

I've been using libre sensor for past 2 years with AMBROSIA'S blucon nightrider to get readings on watch and phone without scanning the sensor. Wether Libre 2 gives alarms but still we have to scan the sensor to get the bg value. with nightrider blucon we even don't to scan the sensro, it give HI/LO alarts without scanning the sensor. It's a complete CGM.

Freestyle libre sensor is really help to move on without pain. uhh I can't even think about finger prick it hurts. Thanks to Abbott who introduced Libre sensor. Also, I'm using my sensor with ambrosia's nightrider which gives me reading every 5 minutes on my phone and watch without scanning the sensor. it also gives me alarms with HI/LO values without scanning my sensor. life became more easy now to lookafter my diabetes.

Apparently it seems very easy, but not quite, we have already changed 4 sensors before the deadline, because they are not measuring the medications correctly, always giving a huge difference to the measurement made with the blade. The only support we've been given is sensor replacement nothing more than that.

For me scanning would have always been a tedious task so I every time look for the options where I do not need to scan my sensor. I'm using Blucon on top of my sensor which gives me readings without scanning the sensor. It has more features than Libre 2. for Libre 2 we have to scan each time to get even readings after alarms but with my blucon it gives me all readings of HI/LO alarms without scanning it.

How do you do the first scan with phone app? I don't have the reader just using the phone app.

You have to have the reader to do the first scan and activate a new sensor. I don't think it can be done with the phone app.

@@mytype1life526 I just got libre 14 days. I activated the sensor using my Android phone. However this is what I found. By using the Librelink phone app to activate the new sensor, it works only with the phone; the libre reader will not work with it as it says your sensor is already activated. I wish both phone and the libre reader can scan, i.e. while I am sleeping, my family member can scan me so I know if my blood glucose goes too low, or just good to know what my glucose levels are while sleeping in general. I can be wrong but if anyone has the same experience, please confirm.

Mine is so totally off. By 15-20-30 points. Just said 60 when it’s actually 96-104 according to two other meters. I don’t know what’s wrong with it but very disappointed. Im type 2 and really trying to get back on track after a bad year and didn’t want to have to stick all the time because I can’t use my right hand only my left. Those 4 fingers really get sore!

@@tybutler-lovette1868 I think it’s possible I might have placed mine in muscle tissue. You won’t get good results from muscle tissue. It was sort on the side of my arm. I’ve since seen someone place it on the underside. E. g. Lift your arm straight up and place it in the soft part underneath. That’s where I put my second sensor. I still find that the numbers are lower than my regular meters but within the accurate range. In fact I sure hope they’re right because they’re good numbers.
