This is a video of me showing you how to change a Honda CR-V cabin air filter. This tutorial is for the 2006-2011 CR-Vs. It is important to replace your car's cabin air filter because it filters the air that comes into your car through the vents. Changing it frequently will result in clean air in your car.

I just bought a new cabin filter at Canadian Tire and installed it myself right in the parking lot. The dealership wanted $52.00 plus tax to change the filter. I bought one for $25.00. Great, easy to understand video. Thank you so much!

Great video! Many service providers would have you believe changing the cabin air filter is very labor intensive. (Maybe it is for other models?) The 2009 CRV owner's manual won't even show you where the darn thing is! They obviously want you to go to the dealer.

fist off my glovebox lock was broke , I ordered a new lock before I started the project , so I used a video to open it.. it took about 2 hours of trying to do what the instructor did in 45 sec.. butt, in the end it worked.. now tomorrow I'll get into changing the cabin filter.. got rainen out & was really cold... thanks for the video.. & squeeze the glove box sides hard.. i tried but couldn't bring up a video just then.. thanks...😅

Note that there is a little retaining strut just to the right of the wall you press in. You can see the notch that it connects to at about 1:18 into this video. It seems to be missing on this car, but is on every other CR-V. Just push the notch to unsnap it before lowering the glove box and reattach as you reattach the glove box. Otherwise, a good video of the process.

After learning that Honda wanted about $98 to change the the CRV air filter last year, I bought one online for about $5, but I never put it in. I used your video to refresh my memory concerning its proper installation and I will install it today. I am going back to Honda tomorrow for 2 front airbags safety recall. I wonder if they will tell me that my air filter needs to be changed. hmmmmm! Thanks for your help!

thx so much for a very clear tutorial. im starting to notice a mechanical smell on my clothes when i come home after a car ride & um thinking maybe its just the indoor cabin filter. its a 2011 & im thinking maybe the vehicle itself is just too old & things r breaking down causing the very slight odor....but i figured let me try this first to see if theres a difference. oddly i just got a generic email from honda "do u need a cabin air filter change due?" how weird is that?! i didnt even know there was one! i figured if i brought it to honda, it'll be more money so let me try it on my own....looks incredibly easy....i ordered it on amazon for under $9.00. so we'll see! now,....i have a shower leak...lol.😁

Good point on air flow pointing down on the tray's orientation. Also the OEM Honda cabin filter also has this label to be observed as well.

You have anything on replacing fuel pump/fuel level sender on a 2007 CRV? No one shows how or if you remove the rear seats? and seat brackets?? Torx bolts?? any help would be great! Hit a bad pothole fuel gauge died and blinks low fuel.. 2007 has 87,000? new pump time also?

no they are paper, the paper deteriorates and will blow pieces into your hvac system. If you find a sythetic waterproof filter that fits I suppose you could wash it
