How to Change a Rear Differential on Heavy Duty Truck

Lift rear axle one foot off the ground and then lift frame . Screw two long studs into the axle housing to align differential bolt holes . Happy no one was hurt !

We just change front and rear drivers on a w900 its around 5 to 6 hours each but we dont take bolts out and let it hit the floor we use jack nor do we rig with make shit hooks he lucky it didnt fall on him this clown is not a mechanic no need to heat up big nut use 1 in gun with IMPACK socket he ran strip bolts in yoke and left one loose and pulled off crooked he did not spread sealant over flange this butcher wouldnt make it 1 day in my shop very bad habits labor would be around labor 475 to 550

You forgot step .5, removing the rusted axle stud cones on most axle flanges.

lol the hooks only went in bore part way this clown is an accident waiting to happen i cant believe they posted video after dropping it to the floor and then nearly dropping a sec time due to unsafe make shit hooks partially through holes !!!!!!!!!!
