This is a great video. Five stars. Very helpful. My thru hull was thick so did not fold in so easily so I used Dremel to cut along the inner lip. That did the trick. Thank you for posting

The inside of the fitting,there two dimples protruding out from the side wall. There is a special tool that fits up into the opening. The tool has grooves. The grooves catch the dimples. Then turn the tool clockwise to take the fitting out. Also wrench can be used to catch hold of the dimples. Just my two cents

What kind of thru hull hardware did you replace it with? I need to replace a few thru hulls on a 40ft beneteau, used in salt water.
