How to change an L2800 Kubota tractor fuel filter

I go through the steps to change out the fuel filter on my Kubota. I did this as part of the annual maintenance but had to wait for the fuel tank to get below the half tank before changing.
The Kubota fuel filter for this tractor is 6A320-59930

You forgot the tiny o ring that goes in the center of the top of the plastic top.

The only "O" ring that mine had was the one on the bowl. If there was another than it must have been left in the fuel side of the tractor. I will have to look next time and see if there is one there. Thanks for watching and the comment.

This is the fuel/water separator and not the fuel filter. The fuel filter is the black one that looks like a car oil filter. I did watch the video as I am having problems replacing the fuel filter. Water fuel separator seems to be what a lot of folks call fuel filter. Sorry this is an edit as I am new to this. You did a good job just in not the real fuel filter. I keep an eye on water separator as bad fuel can raise the red ring faster than what the hrs in manual say.

Thanks for the comment, Did you watch the video? The manual calls it a fuel filter element and the part I replaced as shown in the video calls it a fuel filter element. It may also seperate water but it holds the fuel filter element. It is recommended to clean every 100 hours and replaced every 400 hours.Thanks for watching and I appreciate all comments.

It is the fuel filter and housing. There is nothing said about separating the water in the manual. Like you said, you are new to the process.

Does the vent on top of the filter housing go up to gas tank? I am installing a filter set up on my b7800. Mine has the wrong filter housing and i just got one to install

i followed the line a while back and one of them looked to go about half way up the tank. the tie in point is hidden behind the panel so i could not tell exactly how .

no just the one unless you have somthing added on that is not factory

@@DougLearn Well that’s pretty convenient. I have a Mahindra 6500 and there is a double canister filter (primary/secondary) plus a separate fuel/water separator with a plastic strainer. This is a lot easier!
