How to change an Oil Pressure Sensor on a 1999-2006 5.3L Chevrolet Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado

The socket is a 27MM or a socket made specifically for oil pressure sensors.
This part costs $90 at the time of this video and the job takes about 30 minutes. I have small arms so it was easier. People with larger arms may want to disconnect the fuel line that's in the way first.

$90 for a sending unit? That's crazy but should last forever. Very clean rig and you're doing a great job. Looks about same yr. as mine.

Watching this video gave me a flashback to the time when I twisted the head off the oil pressure sending unit on my ‘98 Camry. Talk about that terrible sinking feeling…it was a bear to get that stem out.

I think that oil is from the intake manifold runners.
