I had to work through my own hesitation to finally do it! My fear is what stopped me from doing it years ago, when I did the rest of that bathroom! But it wasn't too hard at all.

I have changed out at least three faucets (kitchen and bathroom) in my lifetime. The first one I did decades ago was for my Mom - it took some time to do. Definitely way before the internet and KZbin, but fortunately This Old House was more about showing people how to do minor repairs at that time. After we did that first kitchen faucet replacement, there wasn’t a need to call a plumber anymore for those repairs/replacements.

@Thrift Diving i learned alot from you when i redid both my bathrooms mysef in 2021… changed out toilets vanities faucets nd i put in new ptraps nd changed the hot nd cold knobs at bottom to quarter turn knobs with see jane drill help too🙌🏽💜💜💜💜…. Keep the inspiring content coming loving it

The old monobloc tap was beautiful and the wooden handles went well with the mirror. I don't know what you were thinking when you replaced it with that basic unit.

You mean the washer? I accidentally threw it away, I think, and couldn't find it!

Definitely should replace the waterlines too. New faucets usually come with them.

I considered that, but I didn't feel like heading back to HD for it. But yes, the braided hose ones. They don't come with the faucets. Those will be purchased separately.

That's great Serena, thanks for the video! The thing that's stopped me replacing my faucet are those plastic clips though - I don't think the last person tightened them by hand, can't loosen them for the life of me 🥲
