To remove launcher

Or Instead of Removing, You can just disable using:

You will always have the loading error unless you are in USA or in one of the currently supported regions. VPN could help but its just a waste of time because you will end up having slower connection that will definitely cause buffering while streaming. Imo, its better to wait for the the official release of Google launcher to come to our region by the end of this year rather than sideloading official but unsupported half broken one.

Nope. the builds available are Android 9 Pie only. You can try the latest version using Android Studio emulator. If you have an Intel system it offers hardware acceleration and works great.

Pretty wasted effort. So much for nothing. For all trying to ruin your tv and life, just don't! Be content with what you have. Or buy original products. I have conducted multiple successful projects with my devices to get the options i would be interested in at the time and still their life gets short. These mucking projects ruined so many devices and now I don't even root my phone.

This does not ruin or break your device. Can you explain how this ruins your device ? If you Google about this launcher change there are so many articles and blog posts and even more videos on the KZbin. All most all of us have put up a comment or a note that the new Google launcher has loading issues. In Oct only in the US it worked, gradually more counties have been added. No one knows the specific demographics in which this works. That's why a command to undo has been provided. I am not deleting any comments. There is already a couple of comments below about the home tab loading issues. If you did not read that before performing the launcher change, there is no point in blaming me or others. And if you went ahead after reading the comments, why bother lamenting on tge time spent.

I wonder why go through the trouble to install adb and push apps through it. Simply use any file manager or airshare app to send apks over wifi. As for disabling the default launcher.

You cannot disable the default home launcher directly from the TV. You would need to install the home switcher app for that. And then for air share, again you install apps in the tv and the mobile and then transfer the files. This is the easiest method which consumes the least time. Time your methods against adb method and see. And you are not installing adb, its just a matter of unzipping a file.

@@SidsEClassroom installing air share is a one time thing, it's much faster than adb. Next time onwards you send transfer anything using it, while with adb you can only sideload apps. For an average person, setting up adb is pointless and too advanced. Just use your mobile and get it done with.

@@VishalNehra There are a lot of reasons for me to advocate the method that I have shown. This is not the forum to go into intricacies. ADB is more secure than installing third party apps and giving those apps access to your device and data. When you can do things without third party apps that would be my go to method. People are free to choose the method that best suits them. In android apps are advert and data hogs. But any day I would ask users to limit the use of unnecessary apps where possible.
