hi! if i do this will it change any settings on any other devices? i have my ipad and i want to change the apple id without losing anything i have on it, but the apple id is not mine is from someone else, however im scared that if i do this it will change any emails or password for the other person on their own device

This does not work. You get to enter new email and click change and then there is a pop up box that says to go to your device in settings to apple id, so you click ok and it dumps you back to the enter a new email box again. No confirm is sent to your new email either. Frustrating

Yes but when it tells you that u go to ur settings > press on ur name > sign in and security > press edit then youll have the option to remove the apple id and place a new one ( just make sure theres another trusted email available) but as a notice it will not appear as the new one outside but it will be changed on the system

my problem is that when I was younger my dad put me and my brother under his apple id. we’re both older now and I want us to get separate ids but I don’t want to loose our own photos and messages etc. Is there any way that can be possible?

@@WYLLIESONyeah we switched. He made his new Apple ID and I kept my dad’s one but I just changed the email to mine. He didn’t loose anything and all his photos stayed the same they just moved to the new Apple ID. To be safe I would download google photos incase something goes wrong.

You will have to make a new account and transfer your data. Google doesn't allow you to change the name directly.
