Thank you. I managed to replace the bearing with confidence.

@Rob YT I was able to open the machine and look at the bearing but found out that the axle broke off the drum. We decided to get a new machine. Thank you for your support.

I have 2-3 year old Aeg 9000 and one bearing make noise... i just try open that plactic bearing cup but its not open, very tight and yes i look right rotate way what is market in "cup"...
@YTdoityourself6 ай бұрын
Yes, it can be extremely tight! That's why we use this long tool. Because of the length, one can apply a very large torque on the bearing cup. (Initially we tried with a smaller tool, but that didn't work out)

@@YTdoityourself Thanks, next i use longer tool...

Hey thank you for the video! How do I know if the Axis is the issue or the bearings are?
@YTdoityourself6 ай бұрын
Well, if the axis is broken you could move the drum a lot. If there is just a leak, you don't know if the bearing or the axis is worn out. most likely it's the bearing, though. When you remove the bearing, you can inspect the axis. So, it's a matter of removing the bearing. You can order a bearing beforehand from AEG. If it's not needed, you can return it within 14 days for a small charge. Good luck.

10mm socket, first find your 10mm socket!
@YTdoityourself Жыл бұрын
That's how the machine is made. In EU it is a very common socket. I don't know about Anglo-Saxon socket standards.If you don't have a socket, you could try a spanner as well.

@YTdoityourself sorry its just a silly joke, you can never find your 10mm socket kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJuklIaBlpuKmsk

@@yesihavereadit OK. I was afraid that in the UK they still have imperial tools like in US. Thanks for clarifying.

@YTdoityourself most stuff has been metric for years, but older things can still be 1/2" etc . And of course a lot of stuff is 25mm 12mm etc spookily close to inch measurements
