Nice video. Just a word of warning with the Motive Power Bleeder. I see that you have the transparent flex pipe between the reservoir and bleeder. BEWARE AND A WORD OF WARNING!!! Use a reinforced plastic flex pipe. Why? Simple. Mine burst when it was being used and under pressure. It sprayed brake fluid all over the engine bay, hood and wing. Thankfully I quickly rinsed out everything with plenty of warm water, then soap and more water. Thankfully I haven't seen any damage or corrosion to the paint, etc. I replaced the burst pipe with a new reinforced one and haven't had any problems since.

Thanks for posting this. Followed your procedure this afternoon on my 2019 E450 wagon. Using my neighbor's lift it took less than 1.5 hours. I did purchased 2 liters of brake fluid from my dealer and used about 1.5 for the job.

How did the fluid get inside the water bottle? Also what size hose do you use for the bleeder screw(the one at each tire)

Hi, it's hard to guess without looking at it. Just make sure you tight everything good when connecting bleeder to brake fluid reservoir, get god light and check around reservoir

Great video! Couple comments/question. Is there any need to perform an ABS system flush (i.e., exercise the abs pump)? To save time, I have removed the pressure gauge from the Motive tank and replaced with a tire Schroeder valve. Can use a small electric tire inflation pump to pressurize the tank and use the pump pressure gauge to monitor pressure. Saves A LOT of time pumping by hand....

Thanks for additional tip! No need to do anything with ABS

Thanks for your thorough video! Do we need 2 bottles (2 * 1 Litr) of brake fluid for the flush?
@NewRoad3 жыл бұрын
Mercedes-Benz is using just 1L bottle to change fluid. If you want to make sure that you don't run-out fluid while changing - I would say buy 2 just in case.
