How to change brake pads 04-07 CBR1000RR

No B.S. How to change your brake pads on a 2004, 2005, 2006, or 2007 Honda CBR1000RR.

I just want to say thank you for this video! I have a 2005 CBR1000RR. I pulled out the service manual for mine and it seems that the 2004 and 2005 CBR1000RR have the same torque specs but they are slightly different than the 2006 and 2007 models. If you have a 2004 and 2005 CBR1000RR and watching this video, do not assume the 2006 and 2007 models have the same exact torque specs. Excellent video!

If anybody is wondering what torques, a google came up with these on a forum, so that's what I used: These are the torque settings for the 2004 - 2007 Blade: Front axle bolt 78 Nm Front axle clamp bolts 22 Nm Front brake caliper mounting bolts 45 Nm Front brake pad retaining pins 16 Nm Front brake caliper body joining bolts 23 Nm Brake hose banjo bolts 34 Nm Rear axle nut 113 Nm

3:10 should've squeezed brake handle a bit to extend the pistons a bit further out to clean them better and lubricate them before pushing them back in.

I have the same bike, I definitely appreciate the walk through, on doing the brakes, I know that you didn’t want to be liable for the wrong information that’s why you didn’t tell any of us the torque spec for those two main bolts but, could you tell me what did you set your too ?

16 ft.lb for the pinch bolts 58 ft.lb for the front axle 33 ft.lb for front caliper bolts 14 ft.lb for front rotor bolts

Don't you just wish that Loctite Corp would put blue Loctite in blue containers only and red Locitite in red containers only. I use a number of their products and they are never consistent.
