This is how I change my Brembo Monoblock brake calipers on my Ducati Multistrada V4S. I would suggest going to the dealer rather than do it yourself brake jobs. This is how I do the brake job. I am not saying this is the best way to change brake pads on a motorcycle, but it is the way that has been working for me.

Rembo, you went OEM for the pads?? Do you know that Brembo has much better alternatives for a fraction of what you paid? Also, you NEED to keep the brake engaged while tightening the caliper bolts.

@@RemboUSMC The first link I sent is the OEM compound, the same one you just installed. Is Brembo aftermarket good? I would say it's way, way better than OEM, where a certain price point has definitely a relevance. Brake compounds like SR are the latest ones coming out of the Brembo labs. The Z04 is the BEST compound money can buy (commercially), and a complete set for two disks costs 60% of what you paid for yours, and they don't even remotely compare.

I've done this before, my friend and mechanic taught me. These are the exact steps he taught me, thanks for the video. One has to be aware that a normal shop does not have the time to clean so perfectly, if they clean at all. So this is really something you can do on a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for doing another how-to video. They've been super helpful! I've got a set of Streetfighter V4 Brembo pads ordered to swap my stock Multi ones out with. Same size and shape, but more aggressive compound for more bite. Edit: Turns out its the Panigale V4 pads that are the more aggressive compound. The Multi and SF use the exact same part number. Just wanted to correct the record.

Hi Rembo A very nice job with the Brembo brakes. I'm going to test drive a V4S this spring. Spring comes late up here in Maine, but sometimes April is gorgeous. Your descriptions of various projects, namely the oil change video and the chain tightening are very helpful. Keep up the great work!

Good, very good video and explanation. One only observation, Brembo original has many brake pads different from original, maybe better than original. Next time buy some of these. Complimenti, ti seguo con molto piacere, continua con le esercitazioni in italiano.

I am planning to replace my front brake pads for my Strada 939, but personally I don’t think I would unmount the calipers completely just to replace as well as cleaning the calipers because of over tightening the bolt. As I have slimmer fingers I could do this easily. Thanks for sharing your experience, but I would rather go for EBC complete brake kits instead of Brembo brand to save some money on fuel for my trip 😊, just economically speaking

Thanks for the very informative video! I've done some work in my bikes but haven't had to change pads yet. One thing I noticed is you didn't bleed the brakes after you installed the pads. I bled mine last year and put in new DOT 5.1 fluid. It was a bit of a pain in the arse to be honest. Does this HAVE to be done after changing pads or personal preference?

I don't have factual data on the EBC HH but from running them now for many years on high performance/speed bike the seat of the pants data tells me they are bloody good and work first bite and every one after that . Did you go with the stock replacement pad for the V4 or go up a spec ?

There's a better way to centre the pads/callipers, that will give you more power and less lever travel, but too difficult to explain here, holding the brake on while you tighten the bolts doesn't really work that well. Also, according to the MTS V4 Torque Spec sheet, the calliper bolts should be pre-tightened, to 2Nm

For future reference, EBC makes pads as I just found out: ebcbrakesdirect.com/motorcycle/ducati/1158-multistada-v4/2021/36532 The discussion regarding brakes came up on a V4 FB group and a lad posted the EBC part numbers.

I know they may be less expensive but I’m still not convinced that they are at the same level as Brembo. Need to see data and comparison specs.
