Hi there Can you use deionised water for these kind of sensory fish lamps? Or has to be distilled ? How many bottle would you recommend for a 4ft one please ?

What type of cleaning solution is used?
@sensorychannel5 жыл бұрын
We used a product called CLR that is great for cleaning! As long as the product acts as a disinfectant, but doesn't damage acrylic, it should be ok!

I would have to redesign that.

Please! Can you design one that comes ready made /cleans itself/ and we just have to plug it in and it works? Lol 😂

how to configure wireless??
@sensorychannel5 жыл бұрын
All FlagHouse bubble tubes (since 2013) have built in wireless receivers in the base. These can be manipulated by a number of different FlagHouse Snoezelen products like Sensory Magic, Interactive Switches, Panels, etc. to produce different colors and patterns.

Could you use tablets instead of fluid?
@sensorychannel3 жыл бұрын
You can use tablets to help keep water clearn, we still recommend changing water every 3-6 months or as needed.

I just bought one and its too much hassle so I'm taking it back. It cost 14 pounds but then cost me 20 pounds because I had to spend a fiver for distilled water and it has to be changed every 3 to 5 days, so I'm going to spending a fortune on distilled water just for a lamp. Not worth it at all. Shame because I really wanted it as a sensory thing for my son.

@vaibhav singhal it is nice but you can't use normal water. You have to have distalled water. You can distal water at home yourself but it takes ages. You can buy it from the shops, but the fish water has to be changed every 3-5 days, so you will end up spending loads of money on water for it. Not worth it in my opinion :)

We don't recommend real fish, the bubbling can be too violent for them in a 6" tube. But our bubble tubes with distilled water usually only need to have the water changed out ever 6 months.

@@sensorychannel I don't think he understood what I meant. Fish as in fake fish not real fish 😂. I'm in England and the one I bought said that the water needed to be changed every 3 to 5 days so for me it was a waste of time and money, but all companies suggest different things. This one I bought just wasn't worth it.

@@Katie-rx8ql hi..just bought one too..it also says 3-5 day change..but looking at the lot of comments and info from others..the DISTILLED water DOESNT have to be changed that frequently as it won't form algae or have chalk in it.most who use distilled change it every 3-4 months..hope this is right..but seems like it is from what I can see now.thought it was too expensive aswell at first!!

Take a look at Midwest Tropical water towers ,requires zero maintenance and they set it up for you ,plus you can order any size you want.

It’s too involved! We’re not all scientists! What a carry on for a lamp! I had one years ago and you only had to switch it on ... I was gonna buy 2 for my son I don’t think I’ll be buying them though! I’ll get oil lamps that change colours instead,

Water in these tubes needs to be changed regularly or you could see different things develop and the water maybe become cloudy or see growths. We recommend distilled water to get longer life between changes! This changeover may take 30 minutes, but it's also very cost friendly, distilled water and some disinfectant cleaner is only about $10 every 6 months! The other benefit of oil (lava lamps) vs. bubble tubes is safety. These tubes are safe to touch and we actually encourage sensory seekers to do so as some really enjoy the vibration and cool tube against their skin.

You can just put tap water in and use it indoors for years just don't store in direct sun light

Our tubes have LED lights at the bottom, so with that light exposure algae can begin to form between 6-12 months. At that rate distilled is what we recommend, but you're welcome to try your own way too, especially if your the one who would have to change it out.

Ours too has the lights. It has not been changed for over ten years. It resides in a very dark space; no algae present.
