Nishant Choudhary I believe you must first learn technology to start a career as a technical consultant. Best way is to start is probably by learning fundamental technology concepts such as Linux, Linux Admin, SQL, PLSQL, DBA, and then move to the advanced areas such as Middleware or Apps DBA. As a technical consultant it is good to have a good knowledge of architecting technical solutions and coding. Its hard to explain everything here. But in summary simply learn the tech areas & software based on the technology career path you are looking for, and then try to gain experience in them to be a successful technical consultant.
