Thanks for your video! What is the tool you're using to hold up the engine decklid? My struts are shot and I'd like to replace them, but I'm wondering if I should cut a 2 X 4 to hold the lid up or if there is a better option.

@@levelupclassics foe future content can you cover brake pad change and brake fluid bleed?! This is an area I would like to tackle in my 64 but always feel a little nervous with !
@levelupclassics Жыл бұрын
Yes sir! This is totally on my list of things to show. Ive done this a bunch too. I love my motive power bleeder. If you want to get started early, its very similar to my e46 m3 brake flush video too. I need to flush both my cars, so its absolutely on my to-do list. I like the aluminum red cap euro model of the bleeder, but I will make a video when I do it. I have a bunch of other videos to edit too, editing is the nightmare of youtube. lol

awesome channel can you make a video on how to check / top up oil properly without over filling
@levelupclassics Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Towards the end of the video, I show getting the car to operating temps by running the car and then getting the oil to the middle of the dipstick and the oil gauge needle to the middle of the oil gauge. If you overfill, you can either syringe oil out of the filler neck or drain some oil, but hopefully, you add little by little and it will eventually get there. Even if you are on the lower side it is ok because you still have a ton of oil in the engine.

Hi, congratulations on the content. Can you tell me how many liters are needed? Thank you
@levelupclassics10 ай бұрын
It takes about 9-10 liters (assuming I'm converting quarts correctly). cheers!

In my experience, if you let the oil drain over night, I did not have to deal with the oil mess when removing the oil filter.

Did you remove the plastik cover underneath without liftig the back of the car ?
@levelupclassics Жыл бұрын
You can if you can reach that far in or roll the back onto some wood blocks. However, you dont need to lift the car do to the oil change. There is enough room, but you might be uncomfortable. haha There is many options. Cheers!

You talk about an oil catch tray from rennline. Please give a link.

With the thermostat open the radiator gets drained also.

Spot on, this too! That's why we like a good warm up, but if you are a more regular oil changing person eventually it gets flushed out with the next go around too. Thanks!

A 964 can never be a 911.
@levelupclassics Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. Im not sure what you are saying but, a 964 is one of the model series within the 911 nomenclature. I love all 911s.
@ronbelanger4113 Жыл бұрын
@@levelupclassics The 911 designates the air cooled engine, it does not for 964 or any other model after.
@ODTK268 Жыл бұрын
You can easily convert an early 911 so that it looks like an 964. The same thing works the other way around. As long as such simple optical updates and backdates are possible, it`s a real 911.
