Dude nice job. Had this issue this morning. watched. went and bought and had fixed inside an hour. avoiding 250 repair bill - cool. Retaining man card - priceless.

Thanks for that. My 2016 Tahoe did the same thing the other night but has not done it since. I am going to change the sensor today. Shop in Winston Salem told my GF that it would be $700 to change sensor and thermostat and the coolant needed flushed. Really ticks me off how they treat women who come in to these "Professional" garages.

Very helpful and insightful video. After the watching this video a few times it took me only about an hour to replace the sensor. I removed the air chamber as indicated and it was way easier to maneuver on my 2015 Suburban. Many, many Thanks, God Bless.

Thanks man, that was really fast, I was just a little slower than your awesome and to the point video. Figuring out to squeeze the connector in after popping up the gray larger side of the connector wire was the slowest part for me.

To prevent all that coolant coming out like that, wait for the engine to cool down. Also its a cheap part, so if your fan is running and your temp is not moving more than likely its the sensor. The thermostat is also cheap and right next to the sensor, this will work a 6.2 also.

@@6starDriver antifreeze is full and the wires look good to me, I read that after swapping the sensor out I should disconnect the battery so the computer can reset and also that I should change the thermostat as well. What do you think?
@6starDriver

@@rafaelcheco7160 if the temperature gauge on the dash is working correctly then you might have some other issues. Fan should only come on when engine starts getting hotter than normal or ac on
