Today we change the engine oil and filter and reset the oil life indicator on the 2019 Toyota Camry 2.5L engine. This is the 4-cylinder engine and should be the same from 2018-2021 models.

I leave the bottom plastic cover off till I let the car run and then check for leaks,if filter and plug are good then replace cover.

I like how you said to tighten the oil drain plug to 30 ft pounds. If you strip that oil plug to tight, you have to replace the entire oil pan.

Please be careful tightening that oil filter with a filter wrench. You can crush the can which will leak oil. I would invest in a strap wrench instead. You may need different sizes if you have multiple vehicles but it’s much more forgiving if you squeeze too hard.

Not in the original plug but you can get one if your original starts leaking or order a new plug.

@@JohnCRV thanks had to go to Jiffy Lube and took it back they discovered the washer was left off and replaced it with a new one and problem solved
