I have watched a lot of your videos. I have learned a lot from them. I have an evo4 so things are slightly different, but you gave me a lot of great knowledge, thank you.

Same here an Evo IV as well, you always get a bunch of folks trying to make it sound harder than it actually is. The Evo 4-9 Drivetrain is very close thank goodness. Thanks for the awesome videos!

@@ChrisGoorbarry Man you should be proud your videos are so well done and clear, I have also ordered the same quick release kit as you thanks to your other video. Only change I have to make for the fluid change on the 7 is I have to use the same gearbox oil in the diff and transmission but a different one for the transfer box which has to be LS. Hope you post some more videos, love from the UK London

According to my manual, the 6 speed is 2.3 quarts and the 5 speed is 3, under "manual transaxle"

Hi Chris, what clutch would you recommend?
@chad1001 Жыл бұрын
Were you just using the ratchet to tighten the transmission or was some kind of socket and tool attached to it? I couldnt tell. Thanks

Did you rotate your wheels? My tuner told me they usually rotate the wheels and refill

I’m leaking ATF fluid right where the banjo bolt with the two washers connect to the transfer case? Any idea of why this is happening?
@ChrisGoorbarry Жыл бұрын
Change the copper washers and see if that helps!
@RonnyandCars4 жыл бұрын
Hi. Is the transfer case means the acd case? And is the rear diff means the ayc ?
@ChrisGoorbarry4 жыл бұрын
if your evo does have ACD then I guess someone could call that it all depends whether you have an acd system or not i believe acd came out in the 2005 and up but don't mark my words i might be wrong. if you have an acd reservoir on the bottom right of your engine bay by the headlight then that answers your question. lmk if that helps

Also. Where did you find it says 90W for transfer case and rear differential? In my 2006 evo manual it just says Mitsubishi limited slip differential oil (LSD) or equivalent, doesnt list weight

if you haven't done it yet replace all your timing components, don't forget about your power steering fluid too those pumps are notorious for burning up from neglected maintenance.

Already did bro! first thing I did when I got it. lol

Underfilled transfer case
@Pr3lude9 Жыл бұрын
Why they made it so you have to remove it to fill it is insane.
@TheLordofShell Жыл бұрын
@@Pr3lude9 Fill it from the bottom. It's messy but at least it'll be full. The number of Evo transfer cases out there that have broken due to the owners thinking they're full when they aren't must be staggering.
@Pr3lude9 Жыл бұрын
@@TheLordofShell I’ve heard filling it out of the car, then sealing it up and bolting it in, is the proper way. The first time I’ve heard of filling it from the bottom. You mean the drain? How do you know how much you put in? The service manual says how the video shows. Remove fill, remove drain bolts. Tighten drain bolt 23 +-2 ft/lb, fill until it fluid level reaches lower portion of filler plug hole.
