It's actually a super smart and well done setup that makes the fuel pump easy to work on. If you ever have to drop a 25 gallon tank to change a fuel pump, you'd see a real job. The fit sips so little fuel that the fuel pump will likely die before the filter clogs. Just replace it as a whole unit and you've got the whole job done in an hour.

Remove the rear muffler, turn car on its roof, remove the seats while in upside down position. Press the on button of radio 13 times on and off, open rear left door and drink a beer. When you get to this stage, give up and reverse everything you just did. Simple. Oh , I forgot, send a mail to Honda and ask for a simple inline fuel filter hack for the Jazz. 😮

Remove the fuel pump fuse or disconnect the pump wires, start engine to run off fuel pressure so it doesn't spray all in the cabin!

Thank you for the video, I'm able to change th filter succesfully but the car is not starting after the change. I check the fuel output from the pump line it comes out. I think air pocket are formed in the fuel line. Do you know how to release air from the fuel line?

Great video, but for mechanics only! :) Anyway, what was the symptoms of bad fuel filter, so you had to replace it? I have strange problems with my Jazz, hard for my mechanics (no one had idea, so far).. I suspect, it could be, maybe, related to fuel filter...

You shouldve disconnect the pump relay and than start the engine until it shuts.. then you wouldnt have any pressure in the hose.

I definitely agree. Been doing a lot of work on my car, spark plugs, caliper rebuild, brake lines,tranny fluid. I was starting to think I can get the hang of this until I watched this. Car is having acceleration problems tryna get down to the bottom of it. Radiator flush coming next
