Thank you! I have just gone through the process of replacing the sea water intake hose on my Volvo Penta along with a new anti syphon valve but had not thought of the seals in the strainer. Much appreciated video and very well put together.

Thanks Tino. I am binge watching your videos this WE. I would have remove the seawater filter from the panel. It would have been a bit easier. Cheers

@tino g, just a thought, but you should have put some silicone grease on the the large top o ring on the basket as well. to help re-seat the basket imo.

I clean the filter occasionally and prefer not to be greased in silicone grease when I empty the strainer basket.

There is very little information on the web on some topics, also therefore I like to make these videos that tells you how to do things. When you look for how to fix problems on a Bavaria yacht it is very hard to find info anywhere. All the small problems is hidden for the public, but why? when most of the problems are easy to fix.

Here in 2019 the system is still 100% waterproof so it is definitely working :)

Tino, vis hvordan du renser og rengører varmeveksleren. Det vil jeg gerne se :-)

Hvis man ellers holder sit søvandsfilter rent og husker at skifte impeller hvert 2. år så den ikke smider en vinge, så burde det ikke være nødvendigt at skille varmeveksleren ad. Hvis det bliver aktuelt skal jeg nok lave en video men som man siger skal man ikke fixe det som allerede virker.
