Bulk goes on M1 last night. Stopped at service station to get new one ... Got clip off by trial and error but couldn't work out how to get it back on once new bulb in place ... Your video saved the day !

Thanks my T5 handbook showed two separate pieces of wire holding the bulb in (same as my Mk4 Golf) tried a few options to undo but was concerned I might break something; your video gave me the confidence to push harder on the clip and it worked no problem.

Perfect. Just what I needed. The best bit is knowing simply to push the retainer away. I can see that have taken some figuring. Easy when you know. Nice one. Did you upgrade the bulbs from standard? Reason being, I’m keen to improve the lighting on mine. If so what did you use.? Thanks.

I upgraded them, but just with a slightly brighter, bluer light. (Link in the description) but this was part of changing all the lights on the front end. I went with LED for the DRLs, and the fog lights which was a great move in my opinion, looks much better.

Just changed the bulb on a T6 (2018) and the small metal bar/flat side has to face UP when pushing the bulb back in its hole. Not down as for the T5.

Does anybody know what the bulb type is for the Parking Lamp. I have got one missing but can’t get the other side out to see what type it should be. It’s a smaller push in type with two blade type connectors. Hopefully someone knows the globe type. Thank you

I hate my vw transporter, everything is made backwards. Japanese manufacturers make things very easy and self explanatory when working on them. Will be going back to a toyota hiace. Also same problems with KTM everything was made backwards and none logical went back to Japanese manufacturer (honda) and things are so much easier to work on. It might be a European thing 🤷‍♂️
