how to change hpi savage 3 speed gearbox to single speed for electric convert

convert savage xl in to electric savage flux.
Part no 100905 idler gear 44t shaft set savage flux hp 15$ at local hobbie shop.
and for motor mound, i got aluminium plate from bunning warehouse bend it,hole it, mount it. but not very steady but i add brace.

I did the same on and older model that split sideways this will work but unable to use shims to tight oh i used a carter key in sted of trying to scew in to metal. Key will not come out like screw might thanks mine was an older 25

you did not do this correctly btw. did you really drive a self tapping screw through the idler shaft? unbelievable! this is why i don't buy used shit.

Don't follow this guy he's wrong u don't put a screw in the hole a pin goes thru. Guys search u tube on correct way to Flux. Your transmission for savage. He put that screw in that hole that's not correct

do you need a idle gear for the electric conversion? whats it's purpose? i have a 3 speed and a 2 speed does it matter what one you convert?

I'm gonna try this with my 3 speed trans. I had bought the idler gear but gave up because I was not able to install it but I'll try what u did
