Absolutely no need to touch the airbag or steering wheel to remove the barrel. You can just remove the upper and lower plastic cowling, which let's you remove the ignition barrel very easily.

Jep I just did it myself with a Tigra tt very easy and got a scrapper cilinder and put the pins from the broken one in the nieuwe one and it works like the old thing all on 1 key

Hello my friend. You did a great job and very professionally. I have a question for you. I accidentally installed the lock without before installing the plastic thermic. Is there any chance can I disassamble this lock group back without breaking it? I have to do this in order to install the plastic thermic group first.

Yes you can disassemble when ever you want just turn the key to ignition on and press the pin from the top and pull the key barrel

Yes you have to turn ignition on to remove the barrel if you can't turn it then you have to drill it so you can turn it in ignition on position

That chip is your code for ignition without the car won't start and work that's the immobilizer

Sorry about that with screwdriver you have to push up one part of locking mechanism inside and then you can install the barrel in ignition on position

Why are you taking off the steering wheel you don’t need to dothat I just did it with a Opel Tigra twin top 2006 and The only thing you need to do is take the covers off by the top one it’s two clips and the bottom one is three screws then you take the window washer thing out with two clamps don’t need to unplug it then you look at the top And with the same screwdriver you removed the screws with you can press the button between two bars on top of the ignition cylinder Press that down and turn the key and it will pop out If I’m right 1 maybe 2 And putting it back together make sure the key is in the same position as if you look in the hole It has to be horizontal and make sure you don’t have the steering lock on you can press it down with a screwdriver and it has to be all the way down you can hear a click and don’t touch the steering the easiest way to make sure the key is in the right position there is a button on the cylinder and has to be so you can press it all the way down
