Hey just curious if you have any potential of doing videos on the series 1774 PLC's or willing to provide information about them?

HI: I have never seen or worked on the 1774 series. Are you sure you have the correct number? Thanks

@@abplctestbench759 Yes it was the series before the PLC-2. So late 70's / Early 80's. Its chassis is 1774-LP3, 1774-RP3, or 1774-LA2. There is not much information about them online that I can find, and was hoping maybe you had some familiarity with them.

@@UNOATLHello - That was just before my time. I didn't start training until 1981. I seem to remember talking to a gentleman that worked at the GM plants in the 70's but that was way too many years ago for me to have any detail about the conversations. Only other spot I can suggest for any info is www.plctalk.net/ Lots of old guys like me on there. Let me know if you find anything. May be a nice historical reference for some of the kids that come along. Thank you

Had a few real quick questions is there a part number to these plates and are these plates available from Allen Bradley?

Hi: If you look close on each one there is a part number on there. No idea if AB sells them as I am blacklisted from buying from AB because I sell parts that are experienced. I ended up getting a guy to make on a 3D printer. In bulk they cost me $45 (CDN) each to get made. The option is to get some SLC500 chassis and strip them out of there. They are exactly the same size and better quality using the grey plastic compared to the cheap black plastic that they used in Clogix. The Clogix footprint is based on the SLC footprint. If you look at the screw holes in the chassis they are exactly the same. Hope this helps.

@@abplctestbench759 Thanks for answering my questions that actually helps out a lot. I think I’m going to buy a 3D printer and print them off. I have a feeling Allen Bradley doesn’t sell them. I tried looking at some distributors but they all said they would had to get back to me. lately a lot of your videos have been a great help to me, so thank you for that as well.
