How to Change Rear Differential Oil on a GMC Envoy V8

Dont forget the additive necessary for the clutch parts in the Limited Slip differential. You will also need the same Limited Slip additive for certain 4wd Transfer Cases. We use the product from Kendall Oil. The additive ratio is 2oz per pint of 90wt.

@@321verykind In the old days the limited slip diffs used 'Whale's Oil' made from the blubber of the animal. New wave lubricants have replaced the organic. Like I mentioned we use the Kendall Additive here. One small bottle is enough for one 12 inch diff. Same with the transfer cases that have differentials in them. If you dont use the additive the diff unit will chatter until they get hot and then lock.
